I'm 31 years old. I have recently finished college and am looking for a job. I majored in history. I'm not married and I don't have children.

I love to play computer games, after all, that was how I learned this much about computers. In the "old days" (before Windows95) almost everything had to be configured by hand...memory was always a problem and so were cd-rom drives and sound cards. After a while it started to "sink in." I didn't want to leave my computer..........ever!!! So, wanting to try to make my own games, I took C, Pascal, and Toolbook. I remember really liking Toolbook, it wasn't as hard to make it "do something." The "learning curve" was low. Toolbook is a hypertext program, little did I know that 3 years later I would be using some of it again--sort of. My favorite games are almost any of Sierra's pre-1998 games, the Might and Magic series, the Legend of Kyrandia series, most of the Zorks, and nearly all of the Sim City games.
I have been creating web pages for almost four years. I began with a site for an elementary school where I volunteer. At about the same time I made a page for a club I was a member of. The club has disbanded and the page was accidentally deleted. =( Then I joined NCGenWeb as the county coordinator for McDowell County. Eventually I adopted Mitchell, Buncombe, Johnston Counties, but I gave them away when a new CC was found. Currently I am CC for Madison and Swain Counties as well as my original county, McDowell. I have recently gotten interested in my own ancestors. I was always interested, but now I am actively trying to research.
I've been "online" since September 1992, but I mostly use it for email and downloading, etc. I have made a few friends online, but most of the people I talk to online were already friends in the "real" world.
I have recently re-joined a great online group, Sisters of the Golden Moon. I like this group a lot. It's a great way to meet like-minded people.
